Mobile Stock Management
The lightweight and robust Symphony Stock Checker enables stock information to be recorded swiftly and accurately, and made available in real-time within Symphony Stock Manager; completely revolutionising traditionally paper-based, manual processes.
Historically, Stock Management activities often force staff members to be removed from their service environment to complete basic stock control tasks; recording Stock Counts, deliveries and returns via a dedicated PC. By enabling these activities to be carried out anywhere within the business and with the data being immediately available in Symphony Stock Manager, Symphony Stock Checker dramatically reduces this down-time whilst maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and data integrity.
Wi-Fi connected to the internet-hosted Symphony Stock Manager; Symphony Stock Checker is a truly mobile solution. Whilst Symphony Stock Checker can be connected via Wi-Fi it is equally happy to operate completely Offline, automatically synchronising stock management information with the Data Centre when a network connection is re-established. Sometimes, it’s just not feasible to have Wi-Fi coverage in every stock holding location, especially when delivering services across a large site.
Stock Taking
Symphony Stock Manager includes four different types of stocktake; Line-Check, Manager Stock Check, Period End and Auditor Stock Check and all of these can be completed via Symphony Stock Checker. Each type operates independently of the others, with each respective level taking greater priority than the last, culminating in the Auditor Stock Check. The Stock Items counted and frequency of each type of Stocktake is tailored to suit the needs of your business and can be as often or seldom as required.
Navigating the stock-take could not be simpler. Products are quickly selected by barcode scanner, Stock Item Group, text search or free-scrolling; with accurate data entry aided by the use of the built-in Alpha-numeric keypad and attached stylus. With Multi-Location stock enabled, users can select distinct count locations; and for larger outlets several Symphony Stock Checker terminals can simultaneously count stock in multiple locations.
Stock count data can be entered in multiple pack sizes and units and Stock Count Sheets can be created based on previous counts or via user defined templates, ensuring that the right products are always counted during each stock-take.
Deliveries
Check-off ordered deliveries with Symphony Stock Checker or enter ad-hoc deliveries as goods are received. Select a stock location and add one or more outstanding orders from a supplier to the delivery, reducing time-to-shelf, increasing the accuracy and visibility of current stock-holding, and providing a smarter way of working.
Returns
In the event that goods need to be returned to the supplier, Symphony Stock Checker simplifies the task by allowing a Return transaction to be created and recorded for a selected location. As well as being able to create ad-hoc returns, products can also be selected from existing deliveries associated with the stock location, ensuring a complete audit trail of all stock movements.
Non Scans
If an unrecognised barcode is detected by Symphony Stock Checker, this non scan can be recorded, attached to a product and automatically updated in Symphony Stock Manager, assisting with barcode management and ensuring that non-scan barcoded product data is captured and remedied on the loading bay, rather than on the shop-floor.
