Security

Five different methods of Operator log on are configurable including the use of Dallas keys and biometrics ensuring that staff are accountable, and furthermore, individual Operator performance can be measured. Corrections, voids and refunds can be under manager control and are easily monitored. All transactions are pushed real-time to the Symphony Reporting software and a full audit trail is maintained and can be drilled into for querying. Tighter controls are in place with SymPOS which are imperative for reducing shrinkage and improving profitability.

Technical 

SymPOS truly is the very latest generation of EPOS solutions for the hospitality industry, built using latest Microsoft development tools, SymPOS has been designed to encompass the best of all previous EPOS system architectures and is able to dynamically consume functionality services from multiple locations within the EPOS network, this enables it to provide the resilience of a stand-alone solution, the agility of a mobile solution the flexibility of a networked solution and the power of an on-line solution all in one easily configurable package.  The native transaction engine is based upon the Association for Retail Technology Standards IXRETAIL XML data structure and securely shipped in real time to a central hosting server where it can be viewed using the Symphony Reporting software.  This dynamic architecture means that Symphony can be easily adapted and extended to suit your individual business model.

Operating Systems

Having built our reputation on supplying solid and reliable embedded firmware Point Of Sale solutions, SymPOS uses the latest evolution of embedded architecture systems, designed to run on low cost solid state drives using the Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 platform which offers retailers and hospitality organizations a next-generation solution that is easily deployed and can be remotely managed, ultimately lowering the total cost of ownership of POS devices. In Addition SymPOS will also run on XP Embedded, WE POS, and Windows XP.
