After the successful deployment of Symphony Enterprise across the three college campuses last year, Milton Keynes College have now invested in Symphony Stock Manager which fully integrates with Symphony Enterprise enabling them to manage recipes and margin as well as controlling stock through the system.
At the same time as adding Symphony Stock Manager, Milton Keynes College have also expanded their operation having taken the management of the refectories in-house from 1st September 2011. Seven SymPOS terminals were installed at the end of August and all implementation services and training services scheduled and completed in good time for the new term. Integrated Chip & PIN has also been implemented with the benefit of faster transaction times with typical Chip & PIN authorisation times being no more than 5 seconds.
Matthew Gatter, Sales Director for MCR Systems commented ‘We have built an excellent relationship with Milton Keynes College since installing the system a year ago. From using a basic Till system they are now operating a multi-site EPOS and stock management system, embracing the web based technology and driving the business through tighter controls and accurate real time information”.
Milton Keynes College is a catering training College so the students also get to use the latest EPOS technology in their Restaurant which is also open as a commercial operation, giving them great experience of using this latest technology as a tool at the front of house. They are also able to see how the information captured at the point of sale then translates into powerful back office sales and financial reporting. The college are also enjoying the benefits of using SymPOS on the smart boards in the lecture theatres as fantastic training aids.
