MCR Systems flying high

Royal Air Force selects ISS Facility Services - Defence as its Catering, Retail and Leisure Partner.

The Royal Air Force has selected ISS Facility Services – Defence to deliver Catering, Retail and Leisure (CRL) services to 15 of its UK stations under its Super CRL contract.

The 7-year contract will employ more than 1,000 staff and covers a range of Officers’, Sergeants’ and Junior Ranks’ messes, cafes, bars and SPAR retail shops. ISS Facility Services - Defence will also be responsible for certain Royal Air Force ‘In-flight’ catering and services to various other Royal Air Force leisure facilities.

MCR Systems are strategic EPOS partners to ISS Facility Services and have already deployed Symphony across their Healthcare estate and recently into Education.

The RAF contract will build upon these successes with ISS using Symphony Enterprise to manage the RAF estate of 200 POS and provide real-time reporting for the business. A major innovation that ISS will introduce to the RAF is their EPOS integrated Loyalty system which will provide rewards through various means such as vouchers, donations, digital vouchers, SMS messaging etc improving the whole customer experience.

Barry Archer, Director, MCR Systems – This is a prestigious contract and MCR Systems are delighted to be working with ISS and the Royal Air Force. Symphony is a state of the art product with proven success already within the ISS estate and it is fitting that it has now been selected for such a respected, modern and dynamic organisation as the Royal Air Force.

Work is now underway for the successful commencement of the contract with effect from 1 June 2011. Before then, ISS will recruit new staff, train staff already within the organisation, and begin work on the contract mobilisation.
