MCR Systems boast a long list of customers in this sector including Loughborough
University, Hertfordshire University, Nottingham Trent University, Stirling University
and University College of London, to name but a few.
Nottingham Trent awarded the new EPOS contract to MCR System early in 2006, it is
their third generation of EPOS solutions provided by MCR Systems over 15 or more
years. The new system comprises of 20 Uniwell Touch screen terminals deployed throughout
the campus over the university network, centrally managed by our EPOS MS software
with Symphony Reports installed on a server providing real-time reporting over the
network. Phase 2 of the installation will see the introduction of integrated Chip
and PIN along with a cashless card payment system.
Loughborough University has already installed a cashless payment system with MCR
which enables them to track the food intake of the many specialist sports students
based at the university. MCR have also written an interface to their Menu production
software.
For food service, the system can include kitchen printers and there is a Table Plan
facility to make the order entry a simple task and it also informs you of which
Tables are in use and which customers have had their Bill and are waiting to pay.
One of the key advantages of our system is that the POS terminals can operate as
stand alone although they are fully networked, which is important should there ever
be a network problem. Easy to use, fast and reliable are the words our customers
tend to use when describing the POS. The Back Office management software is extremely
comprehensive and again easy to use and with this dovetailed into the innovative
Symphony Reports suite it makes for a very powerful system. |
